The King is getting out of a limousine. Talking about the best way to win at blackjack. Are you the type of blackjack player who will walk into the casino with a few extra dollars in your pocket, looking to blow your money quickly on a few hands of blackjack?

If so - this article isn't for you.

Are you the type of blackjack player who wants to maximize his/her chances of winning? Do you want to maximize the amount of play?

If so - read on.

There are three very common mistakes that casual blackjack players make. All of these mistakes apply to online play, and two of the three apply to play in a "live" casino. They are:

1) Improper bankroll management.

If you sit down at a blackjack table with a bankroll of $500, does it really make sense to bet $100 a hand?

If you do this, one moderately bad run and you will be wiped out.

Instead, why not take your $500 bankroll and play $5/hand? This way, you will maximize your time at the table. Otherwise, you could bust just as quickly as you started.

2) The "Martingale" strategy.

This ties in with the first point about bankroll strategy.

A common mistake that beginning blackjack player make is that they will double up the size of their bet in an attempt to make up for an earlier loss.

Don't do this.

If you use the Martingale strategy at the table (refresher: the Martingale strategy calls for more than doubling the size of your bet anytime that you take a loss), you will go broke - this is a mathematical certainty.

3) Not knowing the rules.

Do you know when to use insurance? Do you know when you double down? Do you know when to hit? Do you know when to stand on a really low count?

If you don't know the rules and strategies involved in blackjack, you are doing yourself a great disservice and will surely underperform.

The odds of winning long-term are already poor enough even if you know all of the rules - if you don't utilize all of the different strategies involved in blackjack, you are going to get completely destroyed.

Best of luck at the tables! I hope that you found this helpful.
