King's data reports show that popularity of gambling is growing around the world. North America, Europe and Asia are all experiencing growth in gambling activity. What is the motivation for people to gamble? Why do we gamble when we know that gambling isn't the sure way to get rich?
Webster's New World Dictionary defines gambling as:
To play games of chance for money or some other stake or to take a risk in order to gain some advantage.
The King's Take:
Life is a gamble. We are faced with situations which involve risk on daily basis. Gambling or playing the stock market are just extensions of this daily life risk. Gambling is an exciting and challenging game and there is a possibility of a reward in the end. We gamble because we feel lucky sometimes, we choose to have fun, it helps our time pass by, relaxes us, it is an escape from the daily routine. People gamble because it is a social game and once again because it is fun.
There you have it folks. Cya at the blackjack table!
